In addition to his live performances, Sunil has contributed to the music industry through his collaborations with multiple radio and television channels. His works have aired across India, South Korea, Germany, and the USA, showcasing his global reach. Sunil’s contributions extend to the silver screen as well, with recorded background music for several Bollywood films and even a Hollywood production. He holds the prestigious distinction of being an ‘A’ grade artist with India’s Radio-Television.

Sunil has also made his mark in the music album industry, with several of his albums being released internationally, including in South Korea. His album was even honored with the Critic’s Choice Award for its outstanding contribution to the world of music.

A Leader in Music Education

As an educator, Sunil Avachat is equally committed to passing on his knowledge. He is an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and serves as a honorary lecturer and exam conductor in the Music Department at Pune University. His expertise is also sought after by students at the Film and Television Institute (FTI), where he has been an integral part of various student projects.

Sunil's musical journey has been deeply influenced by the teachings of the legendary flutist, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, under whom he continues to study as a senior disciple. His musical foundation was laid under the tutelage of late Pandit Arvind Gajendragadkar, a prominent Bansuri player from Pune, with whom Sunil studied initially.

A Strong Academic Background

In addition to his musical expertise, Sunil holds a sound academic background. He is a Civil Engineering graduate and holds a Diploma in Software Engineering. His technical prowess extends further with prestigious certifications in Java and Oracle platforms, blending the analytical with the artistic.
